Poste

The primary purpose of the role is to manage the statutory accounting and audit of the French entities along with ownership of SOX controls. The role also supports the Country Controller with month end close and related activities.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

-Produce the statutory statements and bridge between the US GAAP and French GAAP accounts. Review and document all necessary GAAP adjustments with the support of an external provider
-Manage the statutory and USGAAP audits
-Handle all the tax filings and payments and the annual fiscal returns, liaising with the central tax team and an external provider
-Accountable for ensuring compliance with SOX, documenting and providing evidence for audits. Collaborating with and supporting Country Controller in ensuring ongoing risk-based monitoring, design, and implementation of effective internal controls for the country locations
-Support the Country Controller with month end close activities, journal preparation etc
-Support the Country Controller with reviewing balance sheet reconciliations performed by accounting shared services
-Answer any technical French accounting queries from accounting shared services and from the other finance functions
-Provide support to investigate and resolve accounting issues

Profil

Professional Requirements:

- Good and motivated candidate with further education of D.S.C.G, M.S.T.C.F,
M.Sc in C.C.A , Master in Audit and Financial Advisory or equivalent
- Mix of practice and in-house experience (minimum 5 years)
- Strong French technical accounting
- Experience of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley)
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts
- Experience in bridging US GAAP and French GAAP
- Experience in managing statutory audits
- Good understanding of taxation
- Analytical ability
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience of working in a shared service environment
- Fluent business English will be required as management's day-to-day working language
