Our client is Polaris Industries, an American manufacturer of snowmobiles, ATV (all-terrain vehicle, also known as a quad, quad bike, three-wheeler, four-wheeler or quadricycle) and electric vehicles. Polaris is based in the Minneapolis, USA.

Since company foundation in 1954,they've been making high-quality, breakthrough products and broadening the view of powersports-whether it's launching the snowmobile industry, reinventing ATV categories year after year, developing the first purpose-built military vehicles, introducing a radical 3-wheel moto-roadster, or getting people to explore the outdoors by providing a network of ride and drive adventures. The company also manufactures motorcycles through the Indian Motorcycle subsidiary which it purchased in April 2011.

On April 2013, Polaris acquired Aixam-Mega, a French quadricycle manufacturer.

- Polaris Defense, producing Dagor, ultra-light combat vehicle designed and built for the light-mobility needs of light infantry and special operations forces
- Polaris Racing is one of the big racing teams on the World Power Sports Association (WPSA) Snocross circuit.

For purposes of shareholder reporting, POLARIS are organized into four businesses:

Polaris Industries Inc. opens in September 2014 a new manufacturing facility in Opole, Poland. The 32,000-square-meters facility is the first Polaris plant dedicated to manufacturing Off-Road Vehicles (ORV's) outside of North America.

Today, Opole facility employ 250 people in and the plant produce 35 different ORV vehicle models and ship them to six subsidiaries and over thirty distributors in the Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") region. Opole also house research and design for the Europe, Middle East and Africa markets allowing vehicles to be tailored to local needs.

For this creative company we are looking for a new ORV District Sales Manager for UK South. The general scope of the territory for the position is essentially the North of England, Scotland and possibly Ireland.

Poste

The candidate will report directly to National Sales Manager - ORV (Off-Road vehicles) POLARIS UK & Ireland. His/her job will be to develops and maintains a strong retail dealer network to meet and exceed Polaris UK and district sales objectives for retail growth, increasing market share and upgrading the dealer network while projecting a professional image on behalf of Polaris. Successfully sells ORV products and programs to help achieve retail goals.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

- Conducts regular business meetings with dealers to ensure wholesale goals, retail sales goals and product stocking goals are met along with SMART development goals outlined by the Star Dealer program.
- Establishes and assists dealers to deliver annual stretch targets for whole goods, retail and PGA growth.
- Focuses on SMART goal dealer development utilizing the Star Dealer program as the basis. Drives territory penetration, full range selling, expansion into new or adjacent markets and dealer premises development.
- Develops, coordinates, and conducts sell-in presentations for new/existing products, events, programs in conjunction with the wider UK ORV sales and marketing team.
- Drives dealer profitability; encourages dealers to participate in all business schools, programs and technical training opportunities.
- Ensures proper brand standards are met and appropriate levels of Polaris product presence is maintained within dealer showrooms and facilities.
- Assists in planning and ensures dealer participation in digital, social media and online campaigns / initiatives.
- Assists in planning & set-up and participates in marketing shows, dealer shows, exhibits and displays.
- Carries out
- Identifies business improvement opportunities and sells into dealers.
- Manages administrative reporting and analysis needed by management to monitor district performance.
- Promotes financially stable dealer network and responds to dealer needs.
- Reports problems, status, and attitudes of dealer network to management.
- Support dealers in building and sustaining a strong PG&A and After sales market.
- Evaluates the overall territory and competitor dealer and seeks continuous improvement of the Polaris dealer network through development of existing, addition of new or replacement of current dealers.
- Understands and utilizes IS and tools and assists dealers with utilization of the Polaris Dealer tools and toolkits.

PLACE OF WORK:

- Ideal "location area" is North East England, Yorkshire / Leeds / Sheffield, Humberside and Southern Scotland.
- Home office environment with support from corporate location. Some weekend work will be required. Significant travel within territory. Some travel to remote locations and corporate functions.

Profil

A sales/marketing/network development professional, ORV and/or motorcycle enthusiastic with motorcycle driving license (ideally) having experience in Motorcycle/ Automotive industry on the similar position. Our candidate need to have field experience and already worked in small international companies.

Professional Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or related field required 3-5 plus years relevant sales and marketing or product development experience
- 3-5 years field sales and retail sales experience with proven track record required. Proven track record of launching new products and developing marketing strategies
- Additional selling techniques and skills education. (e.g spin selling, negotiation skills)
- Solid experience in working in dealer selling network and or business to business
- Solid understanding of dealer development and dealer network relationship building and or business to business
- Direct experience working with an American company is preferred.
- Flexibility and willingness to get "hands-on"
- Demonstrated track record of success and achievement
