It's a job creation due to the development of the company. Our candidate will report directly to Mrs. Hélène WAGNIES, Managing Director of European Automotive & Materials practice. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Senior Market Analyst position within the EMEA Consulting team for Berlin (ideally) or Paris office.

The Automotive Market Analyst will take care of the day-to-day organization and execution of client projects through high-quality market intelligence gathering (primary research), analysis, processing, business/report writing and presentation in whole or part to an external client.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Intelligence Gathering via Primary and Secondary Research :

- Understand client's business challenges and market questions
- Develop interview/discussion guidelines, and translate as needed
- Conduct secondary research about technologies, markets and key market participants, and consolidate collected data
- Identify and contact key market participants across the value chain (OEMs, Tier suppliers, associations, other industry experts) and conduct in-depth, qualitative telephone interviews (or face-to-face if relevant) covering market-related and technical subjects
- Summarize and consolidate interview feedback while cross-checking for consistency/validity of information
- Help coordinate fieldwork and oversee quality of information collected by other team members and/or potential external resources involved in the project
- Work independently on multiple projects at one time, with minimal guidance from the project manager
- Prioritize tasks to meet established project deadlines, handle peaks in workflow cycle
- Take "ownership" of project, process and deliverables

Analysis, Report Writing and Client Presentations :

- Understand and analyze multiple fieldwork inputs - both qualitative and quantitative - (interview insights, secondary research findings, and data provided by the client)
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing/assembling a complete report (client-ready Power Point/Excel slides) of deliverables that tie back to specific project objectives (potentially including):
1. Market modelling, sizing, segmentation and forecasting
2. Market drivers and barriers identification
3. Technology assessment
4. Customer needs and satisfaction evaluation
5. Supply chain & competitive landscape mapping
6. Pricing analysis
7. Company profiling
8. Others as relevant to the project objectives
- Leverage strong business acumen and client-orientation to develop insightful conclusions, as well as targeted and actionable recommendations
- Interact directly with client teams, participate in client meetings and presentations - including presentation of report sections and active participation in discussions/sharing insights

Profil

An automotive consultant professional (or want to be), our candidate should have a real passion for Automotive (car history, engineering, manufacturing…) and have experience working in the Automotive industry, either as a consultant, or in Strategic Marketing and/or Product Development type roles within a Tier supplier or an automotive OEM (5/7 years professional experiences are required).

Professional Requirements:

- High level of education : Academic degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or Finance
- Minimum of 5/7 years' experience in Automotive at Tier or OEM level (e.g. in a Strategic Marketing or Product Development position), or in automotive-related Consulting
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills - incl. comfort in approaching Automotive industry members, and agility to adapt to various interviewees and topics
- Demonstrable experience and ability to convince others to absorb and embrace new products or concepts
- Demonstrable experience in understanding a groups organisational structure and how that impacts on the business processes and tools used by a client
- Self-starter with the ability to work remotely
- Demonstrable ability to keep up to date in all happenings and strategic changes in market sector
- Good command of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- German native-speaker (or bilingual German-French), fluent in English in both writing and speaking
